Let's start with the obvious. Bucky is not a very nice person. Bucky is not a merry wanderer, just a giggling-dangerous-totally-bloody-psychotic-menace-to-life-and-limb. He likes killing people; generally the people he kills are people who have been mean to him, but sometimes he just kills them because they remind him of people who have been mean to him.
There is something therapeutical about Bucky. He is angry, but he doesn't hide his anger. Instead of letting his anger build up, like most people do, he just kills the people that made him angry. This is why you can see him from two different perspectives; either you can see Bucky as a hero who kills bad people, or you can see him as a schizophrenic psychopath.

Also, not much is known about Bucky. At one point, he may have been an intelligent young man, before he, well, went insane. At present, Bucky is more his own enemy than any external mind could be. He's possibly more mentally malformed than the people he thinks have ruined this world. He's not a loser - he's just lost.

His only friend is Loki, his kitty doll (which is actually possessed by the Norse God of trickery, Loki; hence the name). Loki tells him to set people on fire. Bucky likes that idea a lot...

It is, in fact, as a wise man put it: "Bucky is a villain in a world populated by less reactionary villains."

Paw-Paw

Paw-Paw is the sole voice of reason in Bucky's life. Once, long ago (three years to be exact), Paw-Paw was a happy little kitty, born in a cage in a pet store. He was very warm and nuzzly with his big soft mommy cat. The people who came to the store were always very nice to him. Then, one day, he got taken away from his mommy cat and whisked off into the amazing human world. At first it was scary, but then Paw-Paw overcame his fears and realized what a wonderful world it was. Just then, Bucky pinned him against a wall and slammed a nail through his guts.

Donnie

Donnie is, like Paw-Paw, host to one of Bucky's internal voices. Donnie is the voice of Bucky's despair; when Bucky is depressed, Donnie will try to push him over the edge to suicide. Donnie has no desire to be "real"; his only desire is to simply stop being.

Oogie-Boogie

The second of the two doodles in Bucky's head, and a few years younger than Donnie. If Paw-Paw is the Angel on Bucky's shoulder, then the doodles are a fractured version of the Devil, each horrible in their own way. Unlike Donnie, Oogie-Boogie doesn't want Bucky to die. He wants him to kill more people, because he believes Bucky's insanity feeds him and will eventually set him free, and make him real.

And Bucky also, wishes that these were all true. Unfortunately, he is just a boring, insecure and pathetic excuse for a person who wishes extermination (erasing all humanity to give Mother Earth a chance to heal).

But, for all intents and purposes, he is aloof, sarcastic and volatile...
